(1) The applicant shall submit the following fee to the relevant public body if there is a separate provision in the prevailing law regarding the fee to be submitted when requesting information in accordance with section 7 of the Act, and if such fee is not provided, the following fee shall be submitted to the relevant public body:-< br>
(a) five rupees per page for a notice prepared or contained in paper of ordinary size (up to eight tenths three inches in width and eleven eleven seven inches in length),
(b) ten rupees per page for a notice prepared or contained on paper of a larger size than that mentioned in clause (a),
(c) fifty rupees per diskette, CD for information provided by electronic means on diskettes, CDs and other similar forms,
(d) Study or observation of any document, material or work of that body in the public body or visiting or observing the site of construction of public importance for more than half an hour, fifty rupees per person per hour. (3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if the preparation of a notification incurs more expenses than what is written in that sub-rule, the public body may determine the fee based on the actual cost.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this rule, the public body may take the amount of the fee charged in giving the notice in cash or deposit it in a particular bank and submit the voucher or attach a stamp equivalent to that amount in the application.
(5) The notification fee prescribed in this rule shall be reviewed and updated every two years. 4a. Who can request information verbally:- (1) A person who wants to receive information according to section 7 of the ActIf she is illiterate or physically unable to write, she can request information orally before the public body.
(2) If a person requests information orally according to sub-rule (1), the concerned information officer shall make a written request to him and keep his signature on such request.
